This small courtyard garden belongs to a former professional dancer whose love of sun and warmth informed the choice of black limestone. Before, the space was filled with crazy paving and a defunct pond with no allowance for exercise or relaxation.  The client loves to 'earth' himself in the landscape, so an area of polished river pebbles and angel cobbles was designed for this purpose.  New fencing raised the boundary by half a metre to increase privacy.  The client has added many personal touches which reflect his personality and the space beautifully.
