This garden is designed to make the most of a small space for a semi-retired couple who wanted a decent amount of outdoor entertaining for family and friends as well as flexible play space for visiting grandchildren. The composite decking was specified for longevity and minimal maintenance. This terrace and a porcelain paved patio gives a clean contemporary look to go with the new sunroom extension. The client wanted a lush, coastal feel to the planting but low maintenance and so it is predominantly evergreen with palms, tropical looking plants and splashes of colour close to the terrace area. An irrigation scheme will aid the low maintenance approach.
